You will always be remembered for your country’s service
No longer in our life to share
but you will always be present in our hearts
You are a great politician
You speak of the people
Your legacy must be followed
For the betterment of the country

Sunsets and You
Sunsets are not a rare commodity
they come and go every night
so i compare you not to a sunset
for you come once in a life
your beauty surpases the colors of the sky
painted anew each night by angels on high
for god himself has sculpted you
he made it so your only seen by few
and you do not hide from the moon
as all the sunsets do
rather you shine bright under its silver light
and you dance all night
you do far more than any sunset would
more breathtaking than any sunset could
sunsets have moved and inspired all man kind since forever
but you move me each moment, to a love that sunsets could never

It’s like being a kid again
In my friends garden
A little oasis
Is it heaven
Or just a peaceful place
To ponder about life
And its simple pleasures
A divine bliss indeed
Love Is Like A Flower
Love is like a flower, beautiful and bold,
If this love is not nourished, it can be hard to hold.
Love like a flower, grows in the same way,
It blossoms and changes with each passing day.
Love is the tiny seeds that grows in our heart,
Hoping this love is a brand new start.
And when this flower shrivels and goes away,
If it is cared for it will bloom again someday.
If the love we felt seems to die,
With patience and hope we will find it again
In another`s eye.
So when love seems hopeless and you are afraid to try
Think about the beautiful flower under a blue sky
Love is like a flower, and it will grow to be,
A beautiful bouquet of love that will last all eternity.

HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO EVERYONE!!!!
It’s Cinco de Mayo,
a Mexican celebration
of pushing Napoleon out of Mexico.
A slight breeze
tickles the green, orange and white fringe
strung over the plaza.
Vendors are setting up their booths:
BBQ brisket burritos,
smoked turkey legs,
No vegans are in sight
and no French is heard.

A Wild Orchid
We are all flowers in the garden of the world.
Some of us are daisys dainty and bright.
Some of us are poppys, with sweet contagious laughter.
If there was a flower for you,
Youd be a wild orchid,
So full of life,colors alive,
Sprinkled with scarlett and purple,
Explosions of colors racing through your petals.
I was walking in a garden,
Looking for a flower with a soul like yours,
A free spirit,so intense and vivid.
There were many flowers,
The tulips were always telling me to stand up straight
and not open up too much.
The violets were deep but when watered with love closed up.
The rose was too perfect in every aspect.
Then there was you so unique and wild.
A orchid with a soul different from them all
different to touch,to hold,to look at.
You took my wild colorful side, and let it live.
Set me free with your fire
I dream of finding you again,
discovering you again,
Theres far to many daisys in life.

Me and my niece ventured out in Cagsawa Ruins earlier today. The last time I was there was 20 years ago..Back then, it was just Cagsawa Ruins and a guard house. Now, all I saw was shops selling native abaca products and orchids along the backdrop of Cagsawa Ruins and Mayon Volcano.
The Cagsawa Ruins (also spelled as Kagsawa or Cagsaua) are the remnants of an 18th century Fransican Church, the Cagsawa church, built in 1724 and destroyed by the 1814 eruption of the Mayon Volcano.
never give up dont worry each day
we all get tested in life each day
keep smiling and stand tall
life is worth living even if you find it a bore
we all have something to offer the human race
we all have part to play in this amazing play
smile in the morning smile at night
the warmth will glow with heavenly light
and life will be better and life will be bright
as the lord made us all special
and gave us all a guiding light

I would like to say thank you Kevin of 4valentines4words4poetryforyou.com for the wonderful poem he wrote to me about my mother on my missing you post. Will never forget this from the bottom of my heart. These are his words:
A beautiful tribute
to your mum who loved you
your kind words like a beautiful sweet tune
a mothers love will never die
she has only moved over
to the otherside
she will always be there with you
smiling down and caring too
you may not see her
but she can see you
her warmth is there
and her memory too
as these dark clouds
will soon pass and sun will shine again
your smile will return and happiness
once again untill it does
remember those days
of smiles and laughter
and happy birthdays
these are what will help you through
as your morn your wonderful
mother and her beautiful memorys too
And there she would be waiting for you
her beauiful smile lighting up her face
her warmth and beauty in all its grace
awaiting you at the top of the stair case
to give you a warm hug
with lots of her love
the angels would dance and sing again
and bring you togther
the heavens would light up
with a beautifull glow
as you and your mothers
love would show
“No duty is more urgent than that of returning thanks.”
Life is Mostly Quiet
Believe me, you don’t have to know.
Not so much that you render yourself helpless.
Helpless in the face of what Life brings next.
So make peace with knowing very little.
About how life should be.
Make amends with how things are.
Not knowing a thing,
walk with gentle knees,
ready to drop to them, at any moment
that Life dictates it.
Keep an empty hand
so that it can be brought to your heart
when a grief arrives.
Make up a bed that you can fall into
as your own, comforting arms.
We come to find, that Life is mostly quiet.
It asks us to live by our Knowing, while
surrendering that very same thing.
It vibrates easily around us,
candid and benevolent.
You see, it’s only
when we root ourselves solid in some knowing again,
that Life seems to have to shout -
from Its whisper.

You may write me down in history
With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may trod me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I’ll rise.
Does my sassiness upset you?
Why are you beset with gloom?
‘Cause I walk like I’ve got oil wells
Pumping in my living room.
Just like moons and like suns,
With the certainty of tides,
Just like hopes springing high,
Still I’ll rise.
Did you want to see me broken?
Bowed head and lowered eyes?
Shoulders falling down like teardrops.
Weakened by my soulful cries.
Does my haughtiness offend you?
Don’t you take it awful hard
‘Cause I laugh like I’ve got gold mines
Diggin’ in my own back yard.
You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I’ll rise.
Does my sexiness upset you?
Does it come as a surprise
That I dance like I’ve got diamonds
At the meeting of my thighs?
Out of the huts of history’s shame
Up from a past that’s rooted in pain
I’m a black ocean, leaping and wide,
Welling and swelling I bear in the tide.
Leaving behind nights of terror and fear
Into a daybreak that’s wondrously clear
Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave,
I am the dream and the hope of the slave.
By Maya Angelou
Along with ‘I know why the caged bird sings’ I think this is one of Maya Angelou’s greatest poems yet. The power that it lets out when you read it, it’s just amazing! Very inspiring…
