Sunsets and You
Sunsets are not a rare commodity
they come and go every night
so i compare you not to a sunset
for you come once in a life
your beauty surpases the colors of the sky
painted anew each night by angels on high
for god himself has sculpted you
he made it so your only seen by few
and you do not hide from the moon
as all the sunsets do
rather you shine bright under its silver light
and you dance all night
you do far more than any sunset would
more breathtaking than any sunset could
sunsets have moved and inspired all man kind since forever
but you move me each moment, to a love that sunsets could never

Me and my niece left for Daraga Legaspi to see Cagsawa Ruins earlier today. Unfortunately, Mayon Volcano was covered with clouds so I was not able to have a good shot of the volcano. Because of the extreme heat and humidity, we did not stay more than an hour in Cagsawa Ruins…
The church of Cagsawa was built after 1724 by Franciscan friars under Fray Francisco Blanco in the small town of Cagsawa. It was supposed to replace an earlier church built in 1636 that had been burned down by Dutch Pirates. It was destroyed during the most destructive eruption of the nearby Mayon Volcano in February 1, 1814. The eruption killed an estimated 1,200 people in the surrounding areas and buried the town of Cagsawa (among others) under several hundred million cubic meters of ash.
A Wild Orchid
We are all flowers in the garden of the world.
Some of us are daisys dainty and bright.
Some of us are poppys, with sweet contagious laughter.
If there was a flower for you,
Youd be a wild orchid,
So full of life,colors alive,
Sprinkled with scarlett and purple,
Explosions of colors racing through your petals.
I was walking in a garden,
Looking for a flower with a soul like yours,
A free spirit,so intense and vivid.
There were many flowers,
The tulips were always telling me to stand up straight
and not open up too much.
The violets were deep but when watered with love closed up.
The rose was too perfect in every aspect.
Then there was you so unique and wild.
A orchid with a soul different from them all
different to touch,to hold,to look at.
You took my wild colorful side, and let it live.
Set me free with your fire
I dream of finding you again,
discovering you again,
Theres far to many daisys in life.

Me and my niece ventured out in Cagsawa Ruins earlier today. The last time I was there was 20 years ago..Back then, it was just Cagsawa Ruins and a guard house. Now, all I saw was shops selling native abaca products and orchids along the backdrop of Cagsawa Ruins and Mayon Volcano.
The Cagsawa Ruins (also spelled as Kagsawa or Cagsaua) are the remnants of an 18th century Fransican Church, the Cagsawa church, built in 1724 and destroyed by the 1814 eruption of the Mayon Volcano.
More pictures of the festival. Enjoy!
