6th Spring Film Festival

Almost missed this…Since I cannot go on the 29th..I will try to make it on the 28th.  But since the movie I can only watch is Ocean Heaven and it starts at 3:30 pm..Perhaps will do gym first and do lunch in Makati. Then, proceed to Shangri-la…Pretty long day for me as I start my day at night..No problema. I am learning to stay awake after shift..Yes, do not mind subtitles as some stories have more substance.

Ocean Heaven

Synopsis:

Synopsis:

Confucius

Synopsis:

Confucius lived during a chaotic time in China. Kingdoms fought each oher and political leaders were engulfed by corruption and greed. Confucius believed in social order through ethics and education. His analects or teachings are well known, but not his hardships. This biographical drama gives a glimpse into the sufferings and pain Confucius endured before his philosophy became the foundation of a social system.

Synopsis:

As revolutionary fervor spreads throughout China, a man sets foot in Hong Kong to plan the end of the corrupt and crumbling Qing Dynasty. The Empress Dowager wants this man assassinated, but the people who desire freedom know that protecting this man would mean keeping alive China’s hope of liberation. Li Yutang, a businessman, gathers a tofu vendor, rickshaw pullers, a beggar, and an orphan to serve as bodyguards. These bodyguards display their superb fighting skills as they battle it out with the assassins to protect the man they have never met.

King of Milu Deer

Synopsis:

In the Kingdom of Clouds and Dreams, Prinze Tzan meets Yoyo, the white deer who turned into a lady.  Tzan is on a mission to hunt for Milu Deer at Labyrinth Mountain and offer them as a sacrifice to bring rains upon the kingdom. But together, Tzan and Yoyo discover the beauty of the mountain and try to overcome many obstacles to save the natural resources of Labyrinth Mountain.
