“To love is to suffer. To avoid suffering, one must not love. But then, one suffers from not loving. Therefore, to love is to suffer; not to love is to suffer; to suffer is to suffer. To be happy is to love. To be happy, then, is to suffer, but suffering makes one unhappy. Therefore, to be happy, one must love or love to suffer or suffer from too much happiness.” – Woody Allen
Completely mad! 😉

He’s always so annoyed with the human condition–yet in that witty, sardonic way that mellows things and makes us laugh. But he’s serious. He has a beef over having to be humanly flawed and mortal, and refuses to accept either without constantly complaining–in an artistic way, of course. At the same time, he’s not really a Believer, so instead of b***ching heavenward, he does it to a camera and puts us on the receiving end while making us stand in line and pay $12 to hear it. What intrigues me the most is how he’s able to spin his perpetual rant in so many interesting combinations that we can’t help but still give it a listen.
