It’s a wise quote but to be honest I’ve never liked the word ‘because’ in it. It implies that there is a reason to be nice to people when in fact there should be no reason. Just BE nice. Period. Thanks for sharing and reminding us of these insightful quotes Jenny. 🙂
It’s because it can be hard that many people don’t bother. We have to get our ego out the way – another one that’s easier said than done. Practice makes perfect as the saying goes. 🙂

My only aim is not to be ‘un-nice’ … if that makes sense. To me ;being nice’ smacks of something forced, something we have to go out of our way to be.
