Dr. Elden Lumaniog: The Colors of His Life

Every artist painting style, color palette, intensity of strokes and expression echoes their inner consensus, cultural way of thinking and individuality of expression. Color has a subtle effect on us even though we may not be aware of it. Every day we are faced with our emotions, moods, mental insights and even physical perceptions are of course shaped by the colors that surround us. As all artists, they use color very deliberately to make you feel a certain way—to stimulate your mood or to create a message or give a sharp response in the viewer.  The colors we surround ourselves with directly influence the way we feel and relax.

Dr. Elden Lumaniog specializes not only in the art of medicine, but also has a firm hand in the arena of real artistic talents. In Dr. Lumaniog’s artistic expression, it is intrinsically a process of sharing emotions to enchant the viewer. His art advocates discovery, study, documentation & preservation of our rich cultural heritage as presented in his “Tribal Women art series.”

As for the “Tres Maria’s metaphoric series connotes about the human figure at play putting the anatomical knowledge of the artist’s own scaffolding & understanding of dimensional forms using primary colors. His silent desire is to put all these inspirations in canvas proudly depicting womanhood as an exponent of power, beauty and grace.

Apart from a specialty of Infectious Diseases including Men’s Health in Genito-Urinary Medicine, Dr. Lumaniog is also active in the visual arts scene.  He has participated in art group exhibitions and also received arts training and memberships at Philippines Women University, School of Fine Arts, Bankok Arts and Cultural Center and Malaysian Contemporary Art Show.

“E X U V I A E”

Beyond the waves and the wind,
full moon rising in tranquil
gentleness of heavens brood oe’r the sea.
Spiral way nature moves, bruised not gentle at times.
Live in harmony, undress worries in dim.
Outstretch arm; listen to the music of the sea; perfect that no one could sing.
Grab life so free for there is always
An island in the sea.
