Oh Father! My Father! Bless Your Noble Soul | Pinay.com

This is a late Father’s Day post but good news! Another milestone for me.  This is my second article I wrote for Pinay.com

This article is about 3 Overseas Filipino dads and their heartwarming stories.

Read more about it here or click the read more link below:

Father’s Day is a celebration honoring all fathers, fatherhood, paternal bonds and the influence of fathers in every society. In the Philippines, Father’s Day is not an official holiday but it is widely observed on the 3rd Sunday of June, which falls on June 15 this year.

Our fathers are as we say, “Ang Ama ay haligi nang tahanan. Siya ay simbolo ng katatagan at katapangan.”  The saying means: He is the head of the household. He is the symbol of stability and courage—the foundation of the house.

This Father’s Day, Pinay.com honors all fathers and their sacrifices. We highlight three Pinoy fathers who are away from their family and homeland on this special occasion.

80,000+ Jenny’s Serendipity’s Page Views — Thank you!

Thank you for the following of this site!  I have over 80,470 page views since my very first post on 1/3/2012. It has been a fascinating ride and I thank you all for making this experience so wonderful.

I decided to start Jenny’s Serendipity out of boredom more than two years ago.  In the early days of blogging,  it started out as a hobby. This is where I forgot my problems, my worries and mostly, my insecurities. I was obsessed with WordPress and the whole world of blogging. I never imagined how much I would enjoy blogging about whatever I came across with.

Truly, my WordPress blog has opened so many doors for me.  Now, fast forward two years.  WordPress is a platform I use at Work.  My skill in WordPress is what’s paying for my roof, my food, my groceries, my little travels and so on.  This post won’t be enough on how WordPress helped me on my life — work, personal and emotional well-being.

To say a huge thank you to everyone who has followed the blog, liked my post, sent lovely comments and generally supported me so far, I’m going to give away a bag of goodies soon.  Check on my future post, I will be giving away small trinkets of native products from my hometown Bicol, Camarines Sur, Philippines.

Once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

My happiness grows in direct proportion to my acceptance…

My happiness grows in direct proportion to my acceptance, and in inverse proportion to my expectations.

Michael J. Fox

I don’t set my expectation too high anymore as I find out every time I expect and raise the bar, I get disappointed. Raising the bar low helps me with my present happiness.  I know happiness can be fleeting but it does help my state of well-being. When I expect too much from family, friends, work and life in general and the outcome was not of my assumption — I get angry and mad. However, its okay to aim high on our expectations but be aware this could make us unhappy. So what mountain can you climb?  The highest or the lowest mountain in the world?  Be realistic. ~ Jenny Bichara

That’s just the kind of hard worker I am…..

I’m not a very good sleeper. But you know what? I’m willing to put in a few extra hours every day to get better. That’s just the kind of hard worker I am.

― Jarod Kintz, Whenever You’re Gone, I’m Here For You

This will be my last post for the day….Yes,  I do postings for clients all day long but I promise myself not to neglect my blog.

Anyway, I chose Jarod Kintz’s Quote as that quote is totally ME being a HARD WORKER.  When I work, I complete my tasks with sincerity, determination and effort (SOMETIMES TOO MUCH!). I give my very best in every task, whether easy or hard! But sometimes,  I go beyond whats asked for to learn something new.  Usually when I am free and that’s on weekends,  I am tinkering and studying online – some free form of lessons to help me improve my skills.  Nothing is wasted…PRODUCTIVITY TO THE MAX — sometimes I loose sleep – cannot help it!………..that’s the kind of hard worker I am !

Don’t worry, I give myself some personal time…and am planning to take a trip down the road. Good night!

Know Yourself

We are each gifted in a unique and important way. It is our privilege and our adventure to discover our own special light. ~Mary Dunbar

This will be short as it has been a long day as I freelance for other people – FULL TIME…Anyway, to end my day; I needed some empowerment…so I stumbled upon Mary Dunbar’s quote.

Its TRUE…She’s right that we are all gifted in a unique and important way.  It is our privilege and adventure to discover our own special light.  I TOTALLY AGREE….When I started believing in myself, I discovered these talents that was dormant for 42 years. What I believed I was before is not true…So each day is an adventure….KNOW YOURSELF! You never know what you can do….

Ending my day with this advice –> know, embrace, and accept yourselves, with all of your faults and imperfections. You will be happier.

Be nice to people on your way up because you’ll meet them on your way down.
