Love the two versions from the Great Compay Segundo and the Orishas.

Calle 13

Se Vale To To

Calle 13 is a band formed by stepbrothers René Pérez Joglar (born February 23, 1978 in Hato Rey) who calls himself Residente (lead singer, songwriter) and Eduardo José Cabra Martínez (born September 10, 1978 in Santurce, another subsection of San Juan), who calls himself Visitante and their sister Ileana aka PG-13 (choirs, background vocals).

Calle 13 pal norte ft orishas

El Kilo

Orishas was a Cuban hip hop group who appealed to the Cuban youth who were hungry of African-American culture consisting of rap & hip hop.  The group is based in France where they made a deal with a record company, although they visit Cuba frequently. In 1999, Fidel Castro threw a party for them and had a meeting with all the musicians. It was the first time for the Cuban government to recognize hip hop music.

Here is another of my favorite songs of Orishas

Reina de la Calle

You wanna dance?

Mucho Gusto!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

La Vie en Rose

Carla Bruni

Edith Piaf

We all know that the Great Edith Piaf sung this beautiful song but Carla Bruni did good justice singing this song.  The most adored love song through time!

El Rodri y La Gabi

Stairway to Heaven

Mexican duo who specializes on playing acoustic rhythmic guitars. The duo’s members are Rodrigo Sánchez, lead guitar, and Gabriela Quintero, rhythm guitar and percussion. The duo met in Mexico city while playing at a Trash Band “Tierra Acida”. Growing frustrated with the limited scope of the domestic music scene, they moved to Europe were they were well received by Europeans.  The musicians gained a reputation by playing in the pubs and bars of Dublin Ireland and despite their unusual style, gained a cult following including me….

Magnifico !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Buena Vista Social Club

The film documents how Ry Cooder, long-time friend of Wenders, brought together legendary Cuban musicians to record an album (also called Buena Vista Social Club), and to perform a concert in theUnited States. Although they are geographically close, travel between Cuba and the United States is restricted due to the political tension between the two countries, so many of the artists were travelling there for the first time. The film shows their reactions to this experience, as well as including footage of the resultant sell-out concert. It also includes interviews with each of the main performers.(Wiki)

RIP Ibrahim Ferrer. You have the voice of an angel!!!!!!!!!!!

Ofra Haza

Im Nin Alu 2000

From the album “Ofra Haza 1997”, this is an update from the 1988 version from “Shaday”.

Im Nin Alu 18th Tokyo Festival

A voice I can never forget.

Israeli’s first pop star, her voice and songs somehow bridges the divide between Israel and Middle Eastern countries. In this song, she was calling God to take her away!

RIP Ofra Haza…………..
